Terms of Service

Welcome to Quant Data Fetch(the "Service", "we", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and the operator of the Service. By installing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read carefully, especially the limitation of liability section.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. The Service

2.1 Quant Data Fetch is a desktop tool for quantitative researchers, providing market data acquisition, local storage, and viewing.

2.2 The Service operates on a major-version one-time purchasemodel. After paying the license fee, you receive a perpetual license for the current major version (e.g. V1) including all minor updates within that version (V1.x). Future major versions (e.g. V2) require a separate purchase, but eligible existing users will be offered discounted upgrades; the discount terms will be published when the new major version is released.

2.3 We may improve, modify, or temporarily suspend parts of the Service. We will not materially diminish the core data-acquisition functionality already paid for within the current major version.

3. Your Account

3.1 You register and sign in via email verification code authentication (a 6-digit code sent to your email).

3.2 The same account may be signed in on up to 2 desktop devices(Windows and macOS in any combination) simultaneously. Browser sign-ins do not count toward this limit. To switch devices, remove one from the Device Management page.

3.3 You are responsible for all activity on your account. Keep your email account secure and do not share sign-in codes.

3.4 You may permanently delete your account at any time from the Delete Account page. Upon deletion we sign out all your devices, anonymize your personal data, and retain order records only as required by applicable accounting laws (typically 5-7 years, de-linked from identifying information).

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service;
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent license validation, signature verification, or device binding mechanisms;
• Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially share the account or license to third parties;
• Use the Service to engage in market manipulation, insider trading, or any activity prohibited by applicable financial regulation;
• Abuse APIs, scrape rate-limited endpoints, or attack our infrastructure.

4.1 Violation may result in immediate suspension of the account without refund.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 All intellectual property in the Service (copyright, trademarks, patents, trade secrets) belongs to its operator and is protected by international copyright and trade laws.

5.2 You purchase a right to use (license), not ownership. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

6.1 THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We use commercially reasonable efforts to improve data timeliness and accuracy but make no warranty as to data completeness, accuracy, continuity, or suitability for any purpose. Data is sourced from third-party providers whose changes or outages may directly affect the Service.

6.2 Data provided by the Service is for research, backtesting, and educational purposes only. It does not constitute investment advice. You are solely responsible for any investment decisions made based on Service data, and we accept no liability for resulting gains or losses.

6.3 IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, OR DATA. Our cumulative liability for any claim shall not exceed the license fee you actually paid.

7. Changes and Termination

7.1 We may change pricing, features, or service policies as needed. Material changes will be posted on the website.

7.2 We are not liable for service interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), but will make commercially reasonable efforts to restore the Service.

8. Privacy

We respect and protect your personal information. Refer to our Privacy Policy (which forms an integral part of these Terms) for the full disclosure of what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Updated Terms will be posted on this page. If you do not agree to the changes, please stop using the Service and delete your account; continued use constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of business without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.

10.2 We encourage you to email us first to resolve any dispute. If we cannot reach a resolution, you retain all rights available to you under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
